The process responses of a pilot-scale trickling filter reactor were investigated by changing the hydraulic loadings and analyzed in laboratory. The liquid hold-up in the reactor, which was thought to be correlated with the wetted surface area was especially focused on. A dynamic simulation was also performed to discuss influential kinetic parameters on the calculation.
