In this research, it was made clear that α-Mangostin presented its diversified biological functions, it was not only found with anti-cancer, but also has other effects with different cell types. The anti-metastasis of α-Mangostin has been found in several researches on cancer cells, but in this study, I found that α-Mangostin also had positive effect on normal cells which were surrounded cancer cells. This finding is important to optimize … the conditions of this compound as a chemotherapeutic and chemopreventive agent for cancer treatment. In addition, α-Mangostin changed the mechanical properties which has been proposed to participate in regulation of cell state and fate. The mechanical properies is also play important role in leukocytes, α-Mangostin reduced the cell stiffness followed by induced the cell adhesion and activated leukocytes. These results contribute to complete the whole picture of the biological function of α-Mangostin, and these functions of α-Mangostin are useful for studies on the potential pharmacological principles as well as the preclinical applications of the α-Mangostin. 続きを見る
